Let's get acquainted with the A2C-Clinic Controller. The interface is driven by a context-sensitive right-click menu. This means that what the menu displays when you right-click will vary based on the item that is clicked. Follow through this article to learn how to utilize the A2C Interface and menus to begin and complete your implementation of A2C.
When Clinic Controller first starts, users are presented with a blank background with a menu across the top. This startup behavior can be modified under File | Preferences to
display the schedule when Clinic Controller starts.
The Main Menu
The menu across the top is referred to as the Main Menu. The main menu is used to access the
various modules and menus in A2C.
The File Menu
|Tasks||Opens the Task module as detailed in Chapter 25: Tasks and Alerts.|
|Change Password||Allows you to change the password for the user currently logged in.|
|Preferences||Displays the user preferences dialog.|
|Reset User Cache|
|Reset User Settings||Resets the opening position of windows to their default location as well as grid column widths and settings.|
|Page Setup||Loads the Page Setup Printer dialog.|
|Prints the current screen.|
The Preferences dialog allows each user to set their preferences on each computer they log onto.
|Default Clinic||In a multi-clinic environment, the user can choose which clinic will be the default clinic when the schedule is opened.|
|Show Schedule on Startup||If checked, the schedule will appear as soon as the user logs in.|
|Use Legacy Font|
|Doc Forms Scaling|
|Default Appointment Type|
|Form Spell Checking||Set spell checking to either Automatic, As You Type, or On-Demand for the therapist documentation.|
|CMS 1500 Printer Settings||Adjust the print alignment of an HCFA/CMS. These numbers are in printer pixels. If your printer prints at 600 DPI (dots per inch), entering 600 will move the HCFA/CMS one inch. If you wish to move the HCFA/CMS up or left from its default position
you would enter a negative number.
|CMS 1450 Printer Settings|
|Claim Output Folder||Allows you to set the default location for claim print files.|
|Statement Output Folder||Sets the default location for statement print files.|
In A2C, you can have many modules open at the same time. By default, these are organized as Tabbed MDI windows. An example of this is shown below:
In the above example, the Schedule, Charges and Documentation, Claims, and Reports modules are all open.
Clicking any of these tabs will bring that module to the front. You do not have to close one module in order to access another, and, in the case of most modules, you can have many of them open at one time. For example, you could have every case in the system open at one time; while not practical, it is an example of how multitasking can be done.
