Permissions! Clinic Staff must have an Administrator, Billing Manager, Clinical Director, Front Office, Front Office Assistant, Operations Manager, PTA, Staff Therapist, or Therapy Student Permissions assigned in order to change the Place of Service.
There may be times when you will need to change or override the place of service in a patient's case. This article will help you to change the Place of Service Code.
NOTE: For manual charge via Charge and Documentation, the POS override will need to be in place prior to charges being entered. If a Flow Sheet is being used, the POS override must be in place prior to the Flow Sheet being created not simply opened.
Change the Place of Service Code
- Click Patient.
- Select Case.
- Enter Search Data and click Search.
- The Place of Service is found in General Information which is located at the bottom half of the screen.
- Right-click anywhere on the case
- Select Edit General Information
- Enter the new POS Code
- Click OK
