Built-in Roles
Fusion Enterprise has 13 built-in roles designed to address the widest range of users. Users may create their own roles, however, The Fusion Enterprise team has created a set of coherent roles with the goal of circumventing the need for the majority of users to create their own.

Built-In Roles
Administrator | Has all permissions. |
Front Office | The Front Office individual oversees other front office staff and all aspects of patient scheduling and case entry. This individual would generally report directly to the Operations Manager. This role is able to access, add, and edit items in the patient's case and on the schedule; however, many Delete permissions are excluded and assigned instead to the Operations Manager. Report access is restricted to front office-related information. |
IT Personnel | Technical personnel. This role has access to Servicer Control and Graphics. |
Front Office Assistant |
The Front Office Assistant reports to the Front Office and has a subset of those permissions. This role is able to access and add items in the patient's case and on the schedule but most editing permissions are reserved for the Front Office. Report access is restricted to a subset of the Front Office reports |
Billing Manager |
The Billing Manager oversees Billing staff and billing-related functions. This individual would generally report directly to the Operations Manager. This role is able to access, add, and edit items in almost all billing-related areas; however, many Delete permissions are excluded and assigned instead to the Operations Manager. Report access is treated to billing-related reports. |
Operations Manager |
The Operations Manager is the counterpart to the Clinical Director and oversees all aspects of clinic business except those relating to the treatment of patients. This individual would generally report directly to the clinic Owner. This role is able to access, add, edit, and delete items in almost all non-treatment-related areas; however, this role is unable to access the Users table to Server Control. Report access is granted to all but a few therapist-specific reports. |
Billing Assistant |
The Billing Assistant reports to the Billing Manager and has a subset of Manager's permissions. This role is able to access and add items in billing-related areas but most editing permissions are reserved for the Billing Manager. Report access is restricted to a subset of the Billing Manager's reports. |
Therapy Technician |
The Therapy Technician assists Therapists, PTAs, and Therapy Students in patient care. This role is able to access treatment-specific areas of the patient's case and can schedule patients. Report access is limited to schedule-related reports. |
Clinical Director |
The Clinical Director is the counterpart to the Operations Manager and oversees all aspects of business relating to the treatment of patients. This individual would generally report directly to the clinic Owner. This role is able to access, add, edit, and delete items in almost all treatment-related areas. Report access is granted to those reports specific to the therapist and their productivity, scheduling, and outcomes. |
NOTE: Choosing a permission setting at the Category level will set all permissions under that category to the same value. This is a shortcut for making mass changes.
Permissions Settings
Allow | Allows the user to perform the function, provided no other role is assigned to the user Denies the permission. |
Deny | Disallows the user from performing the function. Deny always supersedes Allow and No Comment. |
Indeterminate | Neither Allows nor Denies the permission, i.e. No Comment. If permission has the Indeterminate setting, the user will not be able to perform the function unless the permission is Allowed by another role assigned to them. |
