Claim Error: Invalid NPI (2310D_NM1_09 Name)
Typically this one is referring to the Supervising Doctor on an 837P.
FIX:
- Select this claim error and right-click Open Case.
- Right-click Open Supervising Doctor.
- Check to make sure the NPI is entered correctly.
If you are still having issues, you may need to delete the NPI and re-enter it and/or remove the Supervising Doctor from the patient's case and then put it in again. This would solve the issue if there was a hidden space entered that you can't see.
Don't forget to Generate again in Claim Generation after you've made your changes.
Note: If you are billing on an 837i, then the 2310D loop is looking for Rendering Provider. So, you would look at the Provider table and make adjustments there.
