What are Case Binders
Case Binders are a way to keep a patient's treatment history together and organized within Fusion Enterprise.
Fusion Enterprise has reports which are designed to help get the most out of your practice. One of these is Case Visit Statistics, which show you how many visits were attended per case. This report shows Service Type, so you can get averages for how long it takes you to rehab various injuries/conditions. For instance, if you're using service types like Total Knee, Rotator Cuff, etc., you can drill down to particular service types to see how you're doing. Because this shows you info based on an entire case, you don't want to muddy the waters by re-using a Case when it's not appropriate.
When to use Case Binders
It is recommended that a new case be used for each “episode” of care. This means you will not need to create a new patient, instead of creating a binder to contain their "entire case" is an easy way to keep the patient and their history.
