Case Binders Settings - Best Practices

  As with many of the features within Fusion Enterprise, there is availability to customize to fit the needs of your practice.  However, there are some settings that Fusion Enterprise would recommend or suggest as best practices..

CASE BINDER SETTINGS - BEST PRACTICES:

ATTACHMENTS: To allow users to toggle/view all Attachments for bound cases

From the Binder Click on the 'Attachments' tab
Right-click over the text box next to Group and select Add New Group
Name the group (can be whatever you like)
Check-mark all the cases you want in this group and click OK

Now when in either case (or from Charges & Documentation) you can toggle the Attachments box 'Related Cases' to see all patient's attachments. This helps therapists see all treatment notes, and also so the front desk would not have to re-add in any non-treatment attachments such as insurance cards, etc.

PATIENT BILLING: To have the patient only get one statement (and allow payments to be cross-applied between cases): 

From the Binder Click on the 'Attachments' tab
Right-click over text box next to Group and select Add New Group
Name the group (can be whatever you like)
Check-mark all the cases you want in this group and click OK
Now you will see a Green square to the left of the patient in the Statement Generation screen to call attention to the fact that it is in a Patient Billing Group and will have a combined statement.

LIMITS TAB: this allows you to create custom Visit or Dollar Limits you may want to track for special patients.

From the Binder | Click on the 'Limits' tab
With your cursor anywhere in the large white window, right-click and select either Add Visit Limit or Add Dollar Limit
Name the group (can be whatever you like)
Enter Start and End dates for your limit & Enter the Total Limit
Select when you want to be alerted
Check-mark all the cases you want in this group
Enter Message to Display for the Alert and click OK
