Fusion Enterprise understands that billing is a critical function of any practice. As such, we have ensured that you can run all of your practices billing through Fusion Enterprise and make it as easy as we can. This series of introductory articles will cover the important aspects of managing 835 Postings with Fusion Enterprise.
Associating the 835 to a Payment
Once an 835 is loaded into the system, you will see it displayed in the grid with a status icon that looks like a red circle with a dollar sign in it. ( ) This indicates that the 835 has been loaded but is not associated to any money in the system.
There are two options to associate this payment with an 835. Either you can associate it to a payment that has already been posted into the system, or you can direct Fusion Enterprise to post a payment and associate it in a single step.
Right-clicking on the grid displays the following menu:

Opens the 835 for processing. |
Mark as Done / Undone |
Toggles the 835 between being marked complete and not being marked complete. |
Associate with Payment |
Associates the 835 with a payment that has already been posted via the posting screen. |
Post Payment and Associate |
Posts a payment and associates it to the 835. |
View Associated Payment |
Displays a report showing where the associated payment has been posted. |
Copy Check / EFT Number |
Places the EFT or Check number from the 835 on the clipboard. |
View as EOB |
Opens the 835 in a viewer where it may be previewed and printed. |
View Payment Note |
Opens the payment note. |
Selecting Associate with Payment displays the select payment dialog. From this dialog, you will need to locate the payment that was posted in the posting dialog.
The second and easiest option is to select Post Payment and Associate from the right-click menu. This option will post a payment to Fusion Enterprise from the carrier identified in the 835 and use the Check/EFT number as the identifier.
Once the 835 has been associated with a payment, the icon will change to a green circle ( ). At this point, the 835 is ready to be applied.
