Fusion Enterprise understands that the Front Office is a critical function of any practice. This series of introductory articles will cover the important aspects of managing the Schedule with Fusion Enterprise.
Layouts: Days to View and Days to Scroll
These two settings work together to determine how many days are visible and how the schedule behaves when you arrow over to the next week. One item we haven’t touched on on the display is the navigation control in the upper left-hand corner of the schedule.
The default setting for the two values is 7 and 7. View 7 days and scroll 7 days. This means in the default mode the schedule would display Monday through Sunday. If you click on the right green arrow the schedule will show the NEXT 7 days or the next week.
So when would you change these? Let's say you want to only display Monday through Friday on the schedule because you are closed on Saturday and Sunday. A setting of 5 and 5 would show Monday through Friday and the schedule would scroll 5 visible days when you click on one of the arrows. So you would see Monday through Friday and when you scrolled forward you would see the NEXT Monday through Friday.
If you had a setting of 5 for visible days and left the scroll to 7 you would see Monday through Friday when you opened the schedule. If you scrolled forward you would jump ahead 7 VISIBLE days. This means the schedule would now display the next week and would display Wednesday through the next Tuesday the week after.
NOTE: For almost all situations you will want Days to View and Days to Scroll set to the same number or you may jump over days. There are foreseeable situations where you would want Days to Scroll to be LESS than days to scroll.
IMPORTANT: If you are confused as to what values to set then set the Days to View and the Days to Scroll to be equal to the number of days you have checked in the Days to View.
