Fusion Enterprise understands that managing all of your cases is a critical function of any practice. We have ensured that you can run all of your practices front office needs through Fusion Enterprise and make it as easy as possible. This series of introductory articles will cover the essential aspects of managing the Patient Portal features with Fusion Enterprise.
Patient Portal: Appointments
The appointment area looks as follows:
When you sign up for the portal, FUSION ENTERPRISE Medical will work with you to determine which of these features you want enabled and which you do not want the patient to be able to do. A blurb can also be added to the Appointments area at the top indicating your scheduling policy.
The following options are available:
Schedule an Appointment
Clicking on "Schedule an appointment" displays a list to allow the patient to specify what time period they prefer.

This list of possible appointments is created by considering an array a variables. This can be discussed with FUSION ENTERPRISE Medical in the event that you want this feature turned on.

Delete an Appointment
Clicking on "Delete an appointment" leads to:
Again, if you wish to enable this feature, FUSION ENTERPRISE Medical will work with you to determine what visits may be deleted.
Manage Appointment Reminders
Clicking on "Manage appointment reminders" leads to:
Patients make their choices and click Submit, or just use "Back to Appointments" to do nothing. Note that this affects all cases in the Binder’s Patient Portal case list in FUSION ENTERPRISE. The patient does not have the ability to specify particular cases for which they want the reminders. We feel that this would be too confusing for the patient.
View Calendar For This (Next) Month
Clicking on one of the "View calendar..." links will display a calendar for the selected month. Up to 5 visits can be shown per day. This is the same calendar they would see if you selected ‘Print Calendar’ from the schedule.
