Permissions! Clinic Staff must have Administrator, Billing Manager, Clinical Director, Front Office, Operations Manager, or Staff Therapist assigned in order to Approve Charges.
Fusion Enterprise understands that managing all of your cases is a critical function of any practice. We have created Fusion Enterprise to not only be easy to use, but also allow any therapist to be able to sit down and with very little instruction be able to complete an evaluation or a daily note. We have designed the actual documentation to be as customizable as possible. This series of introductory articles will cover the essential aspects of the Charges & Documentation with Fusion Enterprise.
When setting up a therapist, you have the option to require that their charges be approved. When a therapist enters a charge for a visit, the invoice state will move from Pending Charges to Pending Approval. The person responsible for approving charges will have the Approve Charges permission on their login. For more information on user permissions see Chapter 22: Users.
Set the filter for the therapist you wish to approve and select Needing Approval from the filter list. The visits that require approval will show with their visit date and time in red as shown below.
You may then Add/Edit charges as is required. Once you approve of the charges you can select Approve Charges by right-clicking on the treeview. Once approved, the charges will be ready for claim generation.
