Fusion Enterprise understands that managing all of your cases is a critical function of any practice. We have created Fusion Enterprise to not only be easy to use, but also allow any therapist to be able to sit down and with very little instruction be able to complete an evaluation or a daily note. We have designed the actual documentation to be as customizable as possible. This series of introductory articles will cover the essential aspects of the Flow Sheet in Fusion Enterprise.
Alternating Timing Algorithms
By default, the system uses the Rule of 8’s as defined by CMS. In talking with various therapy owners we know that this rule is not necessarily followed when billing non-CMS payers. Currently, there is one other time rule defined on the Flow Sheet and it is called ‘Per Code Grouping’. This algorithm applies the Rule of 8’s to each code instead of to the entire charge set. For example, if you have 8 minutes of Therapeutic Exercise and 8 minutes of Manual Therapy you will end up with 1 unit of each. Under the CMS rule of 8’s you would only end up with 1 total unit.
USE ALTERNATE TIMING ALGORITHMS AT YOUR OWN RISK. FUSION ENTERPRISE MEDICAL NEITHER APPROVES NOR DISAPPROVES OF THESE METHODS AND SHOULD BE USED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ANY RULES, LAWS OR CONTRACTS IN PLACE FOR YOUR COMPANY.
